lazy sunday!
Howdy Yall! I know I'm late but whatever, It's Lazy Sunday! The day Soozit and I put NO EFFORT in! YAY! I went to my cousin Mark's 28th birthday party last night and got SUPER trashed. Woke up this morning and threw up a lot. I then had to drive 2 hours home. how awful. anyways when I got home I was cold and shaky as hungover dumbbutts are prone to be. So I'm sporting some warm leggings over yellow knee length sweatpants. I've also got my purple and yellow plaid shirt I found thrifting. It's huge and warm. great for cold days!
Purple and Yellow are the colors of Soozit and my Sorority (Kappa Iota) So this outfit goes out to all the new sisters that we acquired this weekend!
Leggings:Target
Yellow Sweatpant shorts:Target.
Plaid shirt:Sunshine thriftstore in St. Louis MI.
Here's my make up from yesterday just artistically smugged a bit more.
nothing too special for a hangover day.

Lazy Sundays!
Today I Wore:
My PJs all day! :)
Hungry monkey PJ top: Given to me years ago. The sleeves are really short, so I rolled them up. They look silly otherwise.
White tank: Old Navy
Light blue pants with pink stripes: Sears
Glasses: Forever 21
Leopard fuzzy slippers (not pictured): Present from my sorority mom, Meekin. :)
Lazy Sundays are the best. It's almost six, and I'm still in my PJs. I love that my monkey top has a little pocket. I hang my glasses on there when I'm not wearing them. And, no, they aren't prescription glasses, but so what? :)
I decided to watch "The Devil Wears Prada." It's one of the movies geared towards fashionistas that I LOVE. After Andrea's transformation, all of her outfits are chic. Words cannot explain how excited I get watching this movie. I'm also waiting in anticipation for Lady Gaga's performance at the Grammy's. AHHH!
Also, any readers see the new ASOS Curve line? What are your thoughts? I'm a little giddy looking at all the stuff, because it's decently affordable compared to some other full figured fashion lines out there. :) :)

Eat Your Heart Out. :)
Today I Wore:
Jeans: Old Navy. They were bootcut, but I sewed 'em up to make skinnies.
White tank: JCPenny's
Coral Blouse: Walmart
Jacket: JCPenny's
Owl Necklace: Forever 21
Moccasins: Payless Shoes
Hair: I may or may not have swiped Zooey Deschanel's lovely 60's hairdo.
I wore this when I went out to Golden Corral for dinner with my extended family. I wasn't really in the mood to go out, but I decided that if I was being "coerced" to go, I might as well look cute, right? In this Florida heat, I didn't wear the jacket for too long. Living in Florida is like going through menopause every day of your life. ;) I haven't worn this blouse too often, but I'm making it my mission to incorporate items I don't wear often into my life.
My look today was slightly inspired by Summer Finn in "500 Days of Summer." I've literally watched that movie at least 20 times. The other day I sat down and drew out every outfit she wore. I am hoping to either make or find similar things. Can you tell I'm slightly obsessed? Most of the clothes she wears are really shape-friendly and timeless. The costume designer, Hope Hanafin, also said a lot of it was thrifted, because she wanted the clothes to be things that Summer could really afford. That's what it's all about.
I feel obliged to mention that tomorrow is Lazy Sunday. Sunday is the day of rest, and our blog will definitely reflect that. :) Keep your eyes peeled for what Lazy Sunday has to offer! :)
Yours always,
Soozit

There's the funk!
Today I Wore:
Jeans:Skinny Jeans by Dickies from Torrid
Black Tank: Target
Animal Print Long Cardigan: from Gabriel Brothers.
Necklaces: Birds from Anthropologie, Key from The radiostation where I used to work, and gold disc a gift from my best friend's mom.
cuff: from Ragarama in Columbus, OH. It says Glenn on it.
boots: Woman Within
hair: down.
This is a pretty standard look for me these days. I've been absolutely loving mixing black and brown lately. This sweater was a great find at Gabriel Brothers. The closest one near me is an hour away, but it's worth the drive for the $20 Lane Bryant Jeans and deals like this sweater which cost $4.99 I wear it all the time, and you'll soon find out!
I own that tank top in black, blue, grey and purple. $8, but they're long and that's important for my body. I need pieces that have a longish torso. I'm thick, but I'm also on the taller side. At 5'10 I'm at the shorter end of the fashion standard for models but taller than most of the women I know personally.
It's sometimes hard to find the right thing for my body, but that's what makes shopping fun! It's like a treasure hunt for the pieces that I can fit into the puzzle that is my wardrobe. I try to not buy items unless I can think of more than one outfit with which it could go. When you don't have a lot of money you get creative! And while I'd rupture with joy to have the resources afforded to Lady Gaga, it's still a blast to find a new outfit amongst my small collection of clothes.
I guess that's all for me tonight. Thanks for reading!

A First Entry?
Hi There! Welcome to fashion assault, a project shared between "sisters" in different states. One in OH. (That's eminent.) And the other in FL (you know her as Soozit!) They are here to break boundaries in the fashion blogosphere! We both recently decided to be more fashion conscious. It's always been inside of us ( we even own the same coat!) but now we're making it a priority! This is where we'll post things we're wearing, items we find and love, and maybe some other random stuff. So, join us now for this incredible journey into the mind....hehehe Soozit, You can edit this, right?
anyways.
Here we go Folks!
